In great works of writing, all characters have certain defects, and Shakespeare’s tragedies’ characters specifically have shortcomings that at last lead to their ruination. In Hamlet, Ophelia’s defects in the long run murder her. In the start of the play, it is clear through her considerations and activities that that Ophelia is a loyal individual. In any case, after looking into it further, the crowd can see that she isn't only a submissive, however totally reliant and frail character. For instance, from the beginning Ophelia revealed to her dad that she is partial to Hamlet: â€Å"My master, he hath begged me with adoration/In good fashion.† (Act I, Scene IV, lines 111-112) In relating this to Polonius, she infers that Hamlet is a conventional and respectable man, and that she has affections for him. Opheliaâ₠¬â„¢s later activities penance these individual emotions by request of her dad, demonstrating her all out accommodation to his power.
